Whole Family Wellness
At Nest Family Counselling we offer a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore personal challenges, build coping strategies, and enhance emotional well-being. Located in Sherwood Park, we provide psychology and counselling to clients in Sherwood Park and the surrounding Area (Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc and more). We offer virtual appointments to clients across Alberta. We work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, and life transitions. Using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, our goal is to foster resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful personal growth.

CHILD
Child counselling supports children in understanding and managing their emotions, behaviours, and experiences. Through play, conversation, and creative activities, therapists help children navigate challenges such as anxiety, grief, family changes, or school-related issues in a way that feels safe and engaging.

CO-PARENTS
Co-parent counselling helps separated or divorced parents work together effectively for the well-being of their children. It focuses on improving communication, managing conflicts, and developing cooperative parenting strategies to create a stable, supportive environment despite family changes.

DISCERNMENT
Discernment counselling supports individuals or couples who are uncertain about the future of their relationship. It helps clarify feelings, explore options, and make thoughtful decisions about whether to work on the relationship or consider separation, all within a compassionate and non-judgmental space.

FAMILY
Family counselling provides a supportive space for family members to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. It helps families navigate challenges such as parenting difficulties, major life changes, or emotional struggles, fostering understanding, cooperation, and a healthier family dynamic.

FIRST RESPONDER/MILITARY
Specialized counselling designed for military personnel and first responders to address the unique stresses and challenges of their roles. This support focuses on managing trauma, anxiety, burnout, and the impact of critical incidents, while promoting resilience, mental health, and overall well-being in a confidential and understanding environment.

INDIVIDUAL
Individual therapy offers one-on-one support in a confidential setting, helping clients explore personal challenges, improve emotional well-being, and develop effective coping strategies. Sessions are tailored to each person’s needs and may address concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem, or life transitions.

PRE-MARITAL
Premarital counselling is a proactive and supportive process designed to help engaged or seriously dating couples prepare for a successful and fulfilling marriage. It provides a safe, structured space to explore key aspects of a long-term partnership—enhancing understanding, improving communication, and addressing potential areas of conflict before they become major issues.

RELATIONSHIP
Relationship counselling supports couples and individuals in building healthier, more satisfying connections. It provides a safe space to improve communication, resolve conflicts, rebuild trust, and navigate challenges such as life transitions, parenting, or intimacy concerns. Therapy is tailored to each relationship’s unique needs and goals.

YOUTH
Youth counselling provides a supportive and confidential space for teens and adolescents to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. It helps young people navigate issues such as stress, anxiety, identity, relationships, school pressures, and life transitions, while building healthy coping skills and emotional resilience.
